Review Details

story6.50/10

The story is a decent continuation of the first film, but it suffers from a predictable plot and underdeveloped characters. The pacing is fast, but the movie relies too heavily on action and not enough on storytelling.

acting6.50/10

The acting is decent, but not outstanding. Milla Jovovich is still the strongest performer, but even she feels like she's phoning it in at times. The supporting cast is forgettable, and the dialogue is often cheesy and clichéd.

characters5.50/10

The characters are underdeveloped and lack depth. Alice is still the strongest character, but even she feels like a caricature of her previous self. The new characters are forgettable and lack any real motivation or backstory.

The cinematography is excellent, with a great use of lighting and color. The special effects are impressive, especially in the action sequences. The production design is also noteworthy, with a great recreation of the Raccoon City laboratory.
